Learning Claymation
Yesterday morning, I watched a YouTube video about making a stop-motion character out of clay. The video instructor gave us instructions on how to make the characters. I decided to make an unidentified insignificant creature, that nobody would expect my character to be. His name is Gorbeaux, a kind of Gorzorelliabese alien which I came up with during production. The names of the alien and species I came up with are fascinating, but hard names to pronounce, but I wanted to come up with something, that was, entirely, out of this world. If the short comes up well on YouTube, as part of my new company J.T. Love Industries. I might add him and my upcoming Stone Age projects as one of my future storybooks.

How I animated Gorbeaux, was that I wanted to treat him as a family pet, so what I did on I Can Animate, what I did was I got him to do tricks, as what a dog would do, except that Gorbeaux would roll over, spin, stand on his head, somersaults, and he would bark (like a seal, rather than an actual dog).

Gorbeaux's Description of appearance: 7''2'', two eyes, trapezium head, long neck, carved nose, jelly jug-shaped mouth, arch-ruled like gills, 6 spiky arms, a pair of clipped flippers.

This model worked exactly the way I thought it would. My goal for this model was to think outside the box, come up with something far more spontaneous and a little less unique. The idea for Gorbeaux, I was also inspired with a minor character from The Little Mermaid TV show.

Gorbeau was based on Lucky, the "bad luck" creature.
The difficulties I had was that the clay was hardened, so it took me a few minutes to soften it ready to construct Gorbeaux. Also, Gorbeaux's two hind legs had kept falling over, so I had to add another 6 spiky arms to keep him still so that he could move when I wanted him to. So I had to delete a couple of those scenes when he had fallen down. To make up for those bad scenes, I always made sure that my hand is out of the way so that I could prove that Gorbeaux could move by himself. My ideas are always inspired by retro TV shows from the 60s until the mid 2000s. What I would do differently next times, is that I would make sure Gorbeaux is stood still and I would also make sure that my hand is out of the way during the frames. I would like some help with taking photos of the frames whilst I move the characters.

Garageband

What I did yesterday, was that I was to learned how to use Garageband, and Freesound. The first thing, is that we learned, is that Ricky showed us what beats to use; drum bass, cymbals, maracas etc. and what soundtrack to use; guitar, saxophone, piano, etc.

For the test music, I made a 1 minute soundtrack based on a guitar, drums and an electric guitar. I tried out all sorts of music.
